Head of Accounting (m/w/d)

As head of Accounting, you will lead and develop the financial accounting function with autonomy, clarity and a sense of responsibility, making a significant contribution to the company´s sutainable success.  

Your responsibilities:

• Providing technical and managerial leadership to the accounting team, with a focus on goal-oriented work, personal accountability and individual development
• Overall responsibility for ensuring accurate financial statements for the preparation of monthly, quaterly and annual financial statements for the subsidiyries and the holding compan (UGB/HGB; IFRS experoence and advantage)
• Ensuring effiecient and timely closing processes, including fast-close standards, and analysing deviations from group standards
• Design, standardisation and further development of financial accounting proccesses, including targeted digitalisastion and automation
• System responsibility in accounting, including the role of key user for ERP systems, and close collaboration with IT, Contolling and external partners
• Leading role for Accounting in cross-functional projects throug a sound understanding of proesses and the clear establishment of accounting standards vis-á-vis the business
• Active shaping of change processes in Accounting through structured change management, transparent communication and sustainable integration into day-to-day work

What inspires you

• Completed business education professional (university, university of applied sciences or qualified accountant)
• Several year's professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in an managerial role
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (Austrian Commercial Code, IFRS and tax law would be an advantage)
• Strong affinity for processes, experience with ERP system
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to work
• Quick learner, assertive and with a strong understanding of business
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent command of German and English
